Privacy policy
In short
This site sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics tools. Fonts and images are served from this server, and nothing is loaded from third parties. The Consurgam app keeps everything on your device, and none of it reaches me. I process data only when you join the waitlist or write to us.

Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, on servers in Germany. When you visit, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested page, browser identifier) to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This data is not combined with other data and kept only as long as this purpose requires.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Waitlist
Purpose. I inform you by email about the launch of Consurgam and the Lent cohort 2027.
Which data. Your email address, the language you chose and, if you like, your path (“With faith”, “Without religious reference” or “Not sure yet”), your phone (iPhone or Android) and whether you would like to try the Android test version. To prove your consent I also store the time of sign-up and of confirmation.
Legal basis. Your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Because the sign-up itself and your choice of path can allow conclusions about religious beliefs or sex life, I also ask for your express consent under Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR. Choosing a path is voluntary.
Double opt-in. After you submit the form you receive a confirmation email. You are on the list only after you click the link in it. Sign-ups that are not confirmed are not used any further and are deleted.
Android test version. If you tick the box for the test version, I send the test link to your address. For the test you join a Google group with your Google account and install the app through Google Play. Google’s privacy terms apply to that. In the group I only see the email address of your Google account. You can leave at any time, and I delete the group after the test.
Storage location. The data is kept in a locked file on the web space at STRATO AG in Germany that also hosts this site. The same server sends the confirmation emails. To prevent abuse I keep a non-reversible fingerprint (hash) of your IP address for at most 24 hours, never the IP address itself.
Duration and deletion. I keep your data until the waitlist has served its purpose, at the latest after the app has launched, or until you ask me to delete it. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, informally by email to michael@consurgam.com, and I will delete your entry. I do not pass the data on to third parties and do not use it for other purposes.
The Consurgam app
The app stores entries, calendar and answers only on your device. There is no account, and no data leaves the device. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, neither mine nor third-party ones. You can lock it with Face ID. The retreat lock uses Apple’s Screen Time and works locally on your device; nobody receives a report.
Purchases in the app
Subscriptions and other purchases are in-app purchases through Apple, on Android through Google Play. The respective store is responsible for payment, billing and cancellation under its own privacy terms. I myself receive no payment data and no information about individual buyers.
If you write to me, I use your details only to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
